The Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Office has an opening for an Outreach Project Specialist. This position is responsible for the planning, developing and implementation of public outreach projects for the elections office.
- Prepare and implement outreach programs and activities such as voter drives.
- Develops, coordinates and disseminates public information through various media sources.
- Prepares news release material and public service announcements.
- Responds to requests for speaking engagements before civic clubs, citizens associations, educational institutions and other community organizations relating to elections/voter registration programs.
- Conducts communications workshops for Elections office personnel.
- Develops informational publications utilizing Microsoft Office products for various agencies and the public.
- Assists with poll worker training classes
Requirements:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to coordinate and organize programs
Education/Experience: Associates Degree from an accredited college or university or two years progressively responsible experience in community service/outreach
